Matcha tea is a variant of green tea. The tea leaves are steeped as a powder. Since the leaves are so fine, it enters the tea and creates a texture unlike most teas. Matcha has a plethora of antioxidants and increased health benefits, but it also has more caffeine than ordinary green tea. A cup of matcha gets more from the leaf than ordinary green tea.
