The Start of Deodorant (Egyptians-Middle Ages)
Egyptians- First, if they weren’t building the pyramids than they were coming up with ways to cover up their scent. In addition, they came up with the idea of the perfume bath and then they would apply a generous amount of perfume to themselves. Also, they had tried using different things they had near them like incense, carob and porridge as deodorant. Finally, they were known to place globs of wax on their head that would melt through the day.
Romans and Greeks- Second, they were the same as the Egyptians because they followed the ideas by constantly bathing and dousing themselves in perfume. For this reason, they had doused their clothes, horses, and pets in perfume so that no one that came over would notice that they smelled.
Middle Ages- Third, people became super smelly because the church decided that being naked was a bad thing. At this point, people stopped cleaning themselves all together. Therefore, those with money tried for perfumes so that they would smell good and people without money stayed stinky.
