Eucalyptus Essential Oil
Eucalyptus Essential Oil
History: The eucalyptus tree is commonly associated with Australia, and for good reason! Although Eucalyptus trees can be found all over the world today, they were originally found in Australia. Many of Australia’s unique animals utilized the benefits of this similarly unique tree. There are hundreds of species of eucalyptus trees, which themselves are a member of the myrtle family. The essential oil we provide comes from the Eucalyptus globulus in China – these trees are where most Eucalyptus oil comes from in the market today.
Benefits: Some of you may have ingested cough drops that contain eucalyptus oil in them. This is because the Eucalyptus Essential Oil can fight congestion – and that’s not the only thing it can clean out. The disinfectant properties of the oil also make it a natural cleaning product and bug repellant. These are only some of its benefits.
Oil: The oil itself is a clear, thin substance that has been distilled by steam from the leaves of the eucalyptus plant. The scent is a strong, fresh, wooden, earthy scent that may remind you of medicine.
We recommend you combine this oil with:
Basil: Also a decongestant and bug repellent.
Lavender: Also has antibacterial properties and has a sweet smell.
Lemon: Also a decongestant and has calming properties.
Peppermint: Also a decongestant and can fight nausea.

Safety Precautions: People with delicate skin should be cautious, as it’s possible the oil of the eucalyptus tree may cause irritation. Don’t use the oil while pregnant. Do not drink the oil.
The International Federation of Aromatherapists does not recommend that essential oils, carrier oils, or hydrosols be taken internally unless under the supervision of a medical doctor who is also qualified in clinical aromatherapy.
